The curse would summon large, protective dogs to obstruct her thieving. And she had trouble differentiating between curse-canines and regular canine home-security. Telling the difference was important.
Her business selling divinely trained guard-dogs was lucrative, but she didn't want to risk accidentally selling someone's pet.
